What we do

Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary volunteers offer their time and commitment to provide marine search and rescue, actively participating in approximately one third of marine search and rescue incidents on the BC coast. Members also work in the community to promote public boating safety.

Supported by the Semiahmoo Peninsula Marine Rescue Society, Unit 5 of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary provides Search and Rescue to the waters around Crescent Beach and White Rock, British Columbia. Trained crews stand by, ready to respond within minutes of being paged, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
